Welcome to Spooky Season. For so many folks, it’s their favorite time of year. I’m not that big of a fan, to be honest. Although I love a good ghost story, I hate being scared.
And blood and gore. And jump scares. Horror movies. Zombies and werewolves?
Meh.
Just not my thing.
I’m also a Summer Girl, so I’m not excited by all things Fall or Pumpkin Spice anything.
So, for me, this year my scare is all about the panic of trying to have everything in order for the I’m Goin’ Back book release next month. I’ve spent days doing research on marketing, figuring out who my target audience is, updating the backmatter in my backlog, researching whether to do ads, and where to place them, creating social media posts, and all the other things that go along with a release. So, the scary for me is – have I done enough? The personal jump scare – is anyone going to like it?
Eeeeeek!
So, for those of you who are excited by the Halloween season – Happy Spooky Season to you!
