As you can see, I had quite a holiday and was gifted most of the books on my wishlist ::Insert Happy Dance Here:: It’s research, honest, and
I’ve got my reading cut out for me this year. I can’t wait to dive in!
It’s been a quiet but productive holiday for me as I spent a good ten days or so steadily working on my latest WIP.
I’ve managed to get a good three or so chapters ironed out (up to Chapter 11 of 23 at the moment) between finishing off the Christmas ham and cookies.
The working title, I’m Goin’ Back, follows the life of a rock star beginning in the late 1960s through to 2016, and as of now, will be a 2-book series. If I keep adding words like this, I’m going to have to consider a 3-book series instead. Yikes! But Greg has come to life and I’m having so much fun tweaking his story and putting him and his bandmates on “paper.”
It’s a story that started almost six years ago. Yes, SIX YEARS, and here I was thinking it was complete when I brought it to my critique group months ago.
Newsflash: Nope
But I’m getting it into shape and am aiming, if all goes well, for release later this year. Y’all will be the first to see cover ideas, excerpts, and deleted scenes, so stay tuned for some of the fun!
Speaking of New Stories…
For those who have read my fourth novel, Helplessly Hoping, I have a companion short story to share with you!
This delves into Nicki’s backstory about some of the things that shaped who she is and why she responds to events the way she does. It’s told from her point of view, before she meets Dale.
For those of you that haven’t read it yet, it can be a stand alone piece and doesn’t give the plot away.
You can get it from the BookFunnel link by signing up for my newsletter. (If you’re already on my email list, you won’t get listed twice or get two emails as long as you use the same email address you signed up with initially.)
More Rockstars? Yes! All Year Long
This year, I’m thrilled to be partnering up with other Rockstar Romance Authors, spreading the word and their works with you. Each month, I’ll be introducing you to a new author and their free reads for you to discover and enjoy.
This month, author Carla Krae shares her novel, Kissed for FREE.

One kiss ignites chemistry and passion they can’t ignore, but is this only a summer fling?
Neighbors. Best friends. It was only a crush Beth harbored for Jacob until she was eighteen. Until London.
Neighbors. Best friends. That was all Jacob thought of her until London. Until she kissed him and stole his heart.
It’s funny what Geometry class and a shared backyard wall can bring about. With a two-year age difference, Beth and Jacob were firmly in the Friend Zone during high school, but a pre-college trip to London will change their lives forever.
KISSED is the first of five books exploring Beth and Jacob’s relationship with all its joys, flaws, and heartache.
