Oh, the dog days of summer. What better time to plan a move, no? It’s only been in the low 100’s here in Texas so why not?
So, I’ve been packing my worldly possessions between work days and on weekends which hasn’t left me with a whole lot of time for writing. Trust me, I miss the quiet evenings here at my desk – but a new writing room awaits and I can’t wait to see what stories emerge from there.
As I’ve been packing and listening to music (currently stuck between the Byrds and Steven Stills playlists), I had a few interesting combinations come on back to back which may possibly have sparked book #10. I’m tucking the idea away for now — no new characters get to speak to me for a while!
I also wanted to thank y’all for helping to make my launch of More to Do so successful! Matter of fact, last month my KU reads almost surpassed my entire reads for all of 2025. Even better, it looks like when someone finishes Greg story, they’re moving on to the rest of my backlog and that thrills me no end. So, THANK YOU for giving my smoky, grumpy, emotional, musical world a home on your bookshelves. And to those leaving a review? An extra special slap-five to you! It’s like finding a $100 bill in the pocket of your denim jacket when I get one.
Next month, I should have my new writing room in progress and hopefully things will settle down enough for me to get back into my routine.
In the meantime, grab a cold drink, a good book, and take some time to read under the shade somewhere.
