It’s been almost a month since my move and sadly, it’s been anything but an easy one. However, even with the slow pace of pulling it all together, it actually is coming together.
I think I am down to one cardboard box left to unpack, and am waiting on some storage type things to finish off the kitchen and spare bath. It’s a much happier space, with tons and tons of sunlight. Each morning, I’ve been sitting outside on my balcony, and it’s so blessedly quiet. After the motorcycle races and darkness of my last place, this feels like there’s some potential. Now that I have my posters and such on the walls in my writing room, I believe it may start feeling like home at some point. In the meantime, I’ve been steadily trying to keep up with the editing of book #7. I dropped a bombshell last week at critique group and am very pleased with the response. Still hoping the new characters in book #9 start speaking to me again, but there’s been a lot of upheaval. I’ll give them a minute to get used to the new space, too.
Hope you’re enjoying your tail-end of Summer!
Til next month!
